Who
we are
Samuel grew up on the Dalrymple Farm from birth. He was able to play and enjoy the family farm up until his adult life when he lost his grandfather John Dalrymple. John was not just an innovator in the community but one of the first farmers around. Samuel remebers taking field trips at his elementary school to the farm. At the time he didn’t understand the gravity of what that meant. Now he wants to bring back that spark to the farm and rebrand it to the Morning Glory Farms.
Samuel remembers the early morning in the tobacco fields and his grandmother Margret telling him to hoe the morning glory’s out of the tobacco rows. He hated the plant because it was difficult to remove due to the vine and the number of them in the field. Samuel worked so hard for his oatmeal cookie and Sams Cola. He now embraces them as part of his childhood and his love for his grandmother.
Now after a long career he is wanting to help people escape the everyday life and enjoy the outdoors like he did with his two daughters and stepson. He recalls trips to the pumpkin patch with his kids as a lifelong memory that still warms his heart. Samuel wants other families to enjoy that same life.
Samantha and Jesse came into Samuel’s life in the past years. They have helped spark that new love for helping others and providing a service for children and families to bond. Samantha is an expert in horticulture and can grow anything. She also can bring the most wilted plant back to life. Jesse is the muscle. He helps let us know what needs work and points out any issues. He keeps us in check.
